Originally published in 1898, Christianity and the American Commonwealth is a collection of 5 brilliant lectures given at the Chapel of Emory College in Oxford GA. The arguments made in his book, although written over 100 years ago, are persuasively modern and need to be heeded by today's church. More than 100 historical images from all over the world have been added to bring the text to life.
Lectures are:
Charles B. Galloway
Charles B. Galloway D.D, LL.D. (1849-1909) was born in Mississippi. At sixteen he entered the University of Mississippi as a Sophomore. While at the University he became a Christian and later felt called to preach the gospel. The five lectures that appear in Christianity and the American Commonwealth were presented at the Chapel in Emory College in March of 1898 in an effort to promote the cause of Christian education. Galloway's book is one of the best summaries of the impact of Christianity on America.
