About the Speakers

Israel Wayne
Homeschool graduate and author of Homeschooling from a Biblical Worldview, Israel is a regular contributor to Home School Digest and Brush Arbor Quarterly, and currently serves as the Marketing Director for Wisdom’s Gate. Israel is a popular public speaker and frequent guest on national radio programs, where he discusses home education and cultural issues from a Biblical perspective.

Kevin Swanson
Homeschooled himself in the 1960s and 70s, Kevin and his wife Brenda now homeschool their five children. With 35 years in the homeschooling movement, Kevin now serves as director of Generations with Vision, the ministry he founded to strengthen and encourage the homeschooling movement worldwide. Kevin also hosts Generations Radio, the largest homeschooling and Biblical worldview program in the world, reaching families in 80 countries across the globe. Kevin is a dynamic speaker in high demand at conferences across the country.

Gary DeMar
The President of American Vision, Gary is a graduate of Western Michigan University and earned his Masters of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in 1979, and his Ph.D. in Christian Intellectual History from Whitefield Theological Seminary in 2007. Author of countless essays, news articles, and more than 27 books, he also hosts American Vision's Vantage Point, a web-cast panel discussion that applies a biblical worldview to current events, politics, and culture. Gary has lived in the Atlanta area since 1979 with his wife Carol. They have two married sons and are members of Midway Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Powder Springs, Georgia.

Bojidar Marinov
A Reformed missionary to his native Bulgaria, Bojidar has been teaching the doctrines of the Reformation and the principles of a comprehensive biblical worldview to his brethren for over ten years. He and his team have translated over 30,000 pages of Christian literature on the application of the law of God to every area of life and society, and have published those translations online for free. As an active promoter of the rising Libertarian movement in Bulgaria, Bojidar is also a co-founder and the first chairman of the Bulgarian Society for Individual Liberty. Bojidar and his wife Maggie were the first Christian homeschooling family in Bulgaria, and they work to encourage and assist other homeschoolers in their country.

Bruce Shortt
The author of The Harsh Truth About Public Schools, Bruce Shortt is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School, and earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University. A member of North Oaks Baptist Church, Bruce currently serves on the board of directors of both the Houston Ebony Music Society and the Exodus Mandate. Dr. Shortt practices law in Houston, Texas, where he and his wife reside and homeschool their sons.
