We all love our families. But in an emergency when every second
counts, will you know what to do to save them?
*Do you know how to save a choking baby, rescue a drowning person, or
help a heart attack victim?
*Are you prepared for a tornado, hurricane, or earthquake?
*Did you know that you can kill someone who has hypothermia by warming him too quickly?
*What do you say to someone who is facing death, or has lost a loved one?
*How do you deliver a baby, help a burn victim, or escape from a sinking car?
*What should you do when someone has heat stoke, a snakebite, or a head injury?
*How do you perform CPR, prevent a burglary, or handle a panic attack?
Millions of deaths each year are preventable. Lives could have been saved if someone in each family had known what to do. We hope this little book will be a big help to you when you’re faced with one of life’s emergencies.

This small book can easily be stored in a car glove-box or kept near
one's First Aid kit. If I were to give it as a gift to someone I would
perhaps include it with a small "emergency preparedness kit" since you never
know just when you may come across a potentially life-threatening event. My
family knows this situation all too well. My father was a volunteer fire
police and we were regularly "in-tow" as kids if there was an emergency call
while we were out shopping or having dinner.
The tips in this book are easy to follow and brief. It includes some poems
to remember what to do in the event of certain emergencies as well as some
humorous drawings to help you recall information that you have read. I know
from this book that one of the items I plan to carry in my car's 1st aid kit
is a clean, unopened pair of shoelaces!
Life's emergencies come quickly and when you least expect them. I know, my 7
year old niece was killed just over a year ago in a tragic accident. Even
with quick thinking and a lightening fast medical response team, her
injuries were too great to save her life. That's why one other feature of
this little gift book is great, it includes a brief article on what to do in
the event of the death of a loved one as well as an article about facing
death, for we do not know just when a life threatening emergency may occur.
